Increasing Diversity and Supporting Students in the Mental Health Field

Since the majority of psychologists in the employment are white, there is a dearth of people of color in the profession of psychology.

Some estimates have this number as high as 88%. An in-depth examination of this lack of diversity and its several effects on the area of mental health, including clinical practice (therapy and treatment), research, and the instruction and training of graduate students will be the focus of this webinar.

It will be covered how to find, keep, and foster an environment that is welcoming to different trainees. Additionally, a focus will be placed on how crucial it is to incorporate a variety of viewpoints into clinical training programs and how this will directly contribute to the diversification of the psychology profession.
