Israel tightens COVID ‘green pass’ rules and triggers protest

Israel on Sunday banned its COVID Green Pass to allow only those on antiretroviral drugs or recently recovered from the coronavirus to enter a room. The new system means that almost two million people will lose their vaccination records the next day.

Israel is the first country to provide the necessary support for its digital vaccination record. This initiative is seen as a step to encourage vaccination among those who have not yet received the third dose.

Under the new guidelines, people must have received an invitation to vote for green. Those who have received two doses of the vaccine, as well as those who have recovered from the coronavirus, will receive certification up to six months after the date of their vaccination or recovery.

The government advisory officer on coronavirus will meet on Sunday to discuss prevention and existing guidelines.

Technological issues prevented the Ministry of Health’s updated green light license from rolling out as millions of Israelis try to reorganize digital documents that allow access to shops, restaurants, traditional events, the gym, and the living room of other buildings.

Many Israelis protested across the city, protesting the green system as well as car locks blocking morning travel as many Israelis returned to work on the Sunday after the Jewish holiday in September. Opponents of the measure speak of compulsory vaccination.

Sarah Felt, who protested on the Jerusalem-Tel Aviv highway, said: “We reject any coercion or any coercion, and we reject any action against children, and our grandchildren disagree.”

Israel fled through the gates earlier this year to inject most of its seniors when they worked with Pfizer to market health data in exchange for drug changes.

That summer, Israel launched a violent campaign to promote vaccine effectiveness among its residents. More than 60% of the Israeli population have received two doses of Pfizer / BioNTech and nearly 3.5 million of the 9.3 Israeli citizens have received the vaccine. But after all, 2 million have only received two drugs, and many will lose the privilege of the Greens.

The number of new infections with the coronavirus in Israel has increased in recent months. As of Sunday, more than 70% of the 588 serious coronavirus infections in Israeli hospitals had been vaccinated, according to Health Information.

The announcement was made on Sunday morning and due to the high traffic on the website and its use, the existing certificates will take effect in the next few days.
